Now Hiring for our Fall Youth Crew!
The Kingston YMCA Farm Project has begun recruitment for the fall session of their youth farm crew! The youth crew will assist farm staff in community food production and food access by maintaining the urban farm while also assisting with the local farm stand and educational programs.
The session will take place from September 18th – October 28th (6 weeks) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 2:30-5:30pm. Farm stand shift is on a Thursday until 6:00pm. There may be one or two weekend work sessions. Please see draft calendar linked below. Youth farm crew members must be between the ages of 14-18 years old and have working papers. The pay rate is $10/hour.
Join us for our third annual Farm to Fork Fundraiser at the Kingston YMCA Farm Project. Enjoy a locally sourced multi-course dinner, live music, and special drinks under a tent at our beautiful urban farm. All proceeds from this event will directly support our youth development programs which engage young people in urban farming, farm stand management, and expose them to careers in the local foods movement. We hope you will join us a guest or a volunteer on Saturday, July 22nd from 5:30-8:30.

Farm Expansion Work Weekend
September 30 10-4 | October 1 10-3 | October 2 10-3
We are expanding the Farm! And we need your help! Calling all volunteers to help us increase the growing space of the garden. With our larger growing space we will be able to grow more food for Midtown Kingston and host more young people! All ages and levels of experience are welcome; we have tools for big and little hands. Come help us move topsoil and compost, replace the perimeter fence, relocate framed garden beds. Email [email protected] if you have questions, want to help with specialized skills or want to bring a group.
We are so grateful to the Kingston Wine Co and to all of you for coming out to support Give Back Day on April 9th. We raised $500 that will go towards educational programming at the Kingston YMCA Farm Project. We feel so fortunate to be a part of the generous Kingston community!
