Saturday, July 30th.  Our second annual Farm to Fork Dinner.  Join us for an all-local, al fresco dinner at the Farm.  Chef Jamie Parry will prepare a locally sourced feast.  There will be drinks, music, dancing and fun; all for a great cause.  Stay tuned for more details.

Registration for Spring Little Farmers now open!

Sign your 3-5 year old up for Spring dates of  Little Farmers.  Each week will follow a similar format of play, garden work, snack making and eating, and reading a garden themed book.  You can sign up for 1,2,3, 4 or 5 sessions.  You are welcome to bring siblings.  The fee is $5-$15 sliding scale per week, per family.  You can pay in person with cash or check on the day of the session.

Kingston YMCA Farm Project Attracts Young People, Brings Healthy Food Options to Midtown

Providing access to fresh produce in Midtown and teaching people how best to use it are the objectives of the Kingston YMCA Farm Project. The project began in 2013 when a former childcare director at the YMCA was connected to a local farmer. “I was looking for a place to farm and work with kids,” farmer and project director KayCee Wimbish said recently.

Kingston Y Farm Gets Kids Growing

Kaycee Wimbish used to teach second grade in NYC, but now she teaches in a lot behind the Kingston YMCA.

Wimbish, the YMCA, and a team of volunteers and donors have worked over the course of the past two years to convert the lot into viable farmland.
