We now serve as a hub for the community to drop off food scraps for composting. One of our college-aged Empowerment Coordinators received a Barnabus McHenry Fellowship from Open Space Institute to pilot this community composting project at the farm. We partnered with the Community Compost Company for training and to build 3 composting systems located at the farm and community garden. We also implemented a pumpkin composting program to encourage the diversion of pumpkins from the landfill.

For Winter Composting: Please add your compost to the first bin in the Community Garden’s three-bin composting system.
